Welcome to the Aged Care Quality, Safety & Risk Forum

The Aged Care Quality, Safety & Risk Forum aims to equip aged care providers with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the new Aged Care Act, ensuring compliance while maintaining high standards of care.

Last year, 230+ attendees explored strategies for managing the risks of accreditation loss and funding changes while striving to deliver quality services. A central focus was placed on developing robust governance, risk, and control processes to streamline reporting and drive continuous improvement.

Highlights included an impactful keynote from Commissioner Janet Anderson, valuable perspectives from the Department of Health & Aged Care, and expert insights from the country’s largest aged care providers. A notable moment was the live announcement by Paul Sadler about the passage of the New Aged Care Act, providing timely context for the discussions.

With strong commitments to continued dialogue, the event is returning on 2-3 September 2025 in Melbourne, promising further insights and opportunities for the aged care sector.

Main Delegate Challenges

  • Skills & Training Gaps: Limited access to high-quality, standardised training impacts care quality and create inconsistencies across the sector.

  • Staffing Shortages & Retention: Persistent workforce shortages, high turnover rates, and difficulties in attracting new talent continue to strain care standards.

  • Funding Constraints: Limited funding and resources hinders investments into staff traning, service improvements, and innovation.

  • Technology & Innovation Barriers: Many providers struggle to adopt innovative solutions due to cost, training requirements, and infrastructure limitations.

Sponsoring an event like this has allowed us to meet a large cross
section of people, from C-suite and decision makers to people on the ground like nurses, and it’s handy to speak to them about what they need and want. It’s one of the most qualitative events we’ve attended, and as a result we’re having some phenomenal conversations.
