As a seasoned executive in health, aged and community care, Sandra is committed to safeguarding organizations and has dedicated her time to ensuring services empower individuals to live their best lives. Her extensive expertise encompasses strategic and operational leadership in board capacities and senior executive roles across Australia and New Zealand.
Sandra has predominantly held senior roles within the non-profit sector, overseeing diverse portfolios such as governance and quality, aged care, risk management, complaints management, health, and community support.
In her role as Chief of Governance, Risk and Research at Southern Cross Care Queensland, Sandra leads activities that create communities where best lives are lived including supporting care and services in regional, rural and remote communities, and ensuring continuous improvement and compliance.
Sandra also serves as a Board Director at North and West Remote Health (NWRH) and also with Catholic Care Central Queensland (CCCQ), where she provides governance, strategic vision, and oversight of operations. She also chairs the Clinical Governance Board Committee at NWRH. In her ‘down time’ Sandra enjoys spending time with the family though she also enjoys her quiet time away birdwatching!
